USB-A

USB-A, or “Type-A,” is a rectangular USB connector commonly found on computers, chargers, and other devices. It features a flat, elongated shape with a distinctive rectangular port, designed for a single-sided connection, meaning it only plugs in one way. USB-A has been widely used across generations, supporting standards from USB 1.0 up to USB 3.2, with the latest versions providing faster data transfer speeds. Though USB-A remains prevalent, it’s gradually being replaced by the more versatile USB-C connector in modern devices.
